Live World Rally Radio

Hi everyone,
I have to admit it all feels a little bit weird at the moment! It’s the first time for ages that there has been a break in my calendar so I’m getting to do ‘normal’ things for a change.

Of course, that means I’m back at work. Last week was my first full week in the office at M-Sport for quite a while and there were lots of jokes about me being a part-timer.

Although there is a break in the WRC Academy calendar until Finland, the WRC is still in full swing so there is still a lot happening here at work. The team left for Argentina yesterday, sadly no-one had room in their suitcase for me!

So, I had the weekend at home to have a sleep in and catch up with paperwork and washing and all the usual chores.

I’ve also started doing some prep for that next WRC round. It’s actually good to have the time to do some concentrated work on my notes and follow up on a few other ideas for extra testing. There are a few other exciting events potentially in the pipeline.. Will keep you updated!

On a lighter note, we had 25 kids from the local school come for a tour of M-Sport last week. Somehow I was volunteered to help with this! They were all aged between about 5 and 10 and were very excited.

It was quite challenging but fun trying to explain the sport to them in simple terms, plus show them around and answer a gazillion questions.

So life goes on over here, just at a slightly quieter pace than on a rally weekend. It’s probably not a bad idea to slow down occasionally. At least there is some rally action planned for this week although only as a spectator!

Talk soon.
