Molly Taylor has completed a frustrating weekend on a positive note, finishing her shortened NGK Rally of Melbourne Heat 2 in 21st place.
Eager to get back out on the stages this morning, Molly was disappointed when she clipped a bank on a slippery corner on the first stage of the day, and was unable to continue. Apart from a small dent in the driver’s door, the car was undamaged. After a few minor repairs back at service, Molly, and co-driver Glen Weston, re-started the rally and were a huge hit at the Healesville Sportsground Super Special. Molly really had the little Mirage singing, and impressed the large crowd with her committed driving.
With only two more forest stages and another blast around the Super Special left, Molly gave it her all and finished the weekend smiling but wondering what could have been?
It has been a sensational rookie season in the NEC Australian Rally Championship for Molly - clinching the F16 Championship, and finishing in the top ten in Heat 1 of coates Rally Queensland certainly prove the talent of the 19 year old.
