Australia’s up-and-coming female rally driver, Molly Taylor, has just returned from the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) where she completed the CAMS Driver Development Program.

This was not the first time Molly had been to the AIS for such a camp, but she has once again come away from the experience with plenty of positives to take forward into her driving career.
The camp included a lot of physiology testing, which Molly found interesting, as well as giving her a benchmark as to how she improves with her training.
“Once again I found the time spent at these camps invaluable,” Molly said. “It’s very motivating to be able to continually measure my improvements and see how these are transferring to my performance in the car.
“The staff at the AIS are world leaders at what they do, so to be able to take away some of that knowledge is a pretty special thing!”
Molly’s first visit to the training camp was in 2006, and since then she has been fascinated by the whole training process, and has since obtained a Certificate IV in Fitness, as a result.
Molly’s next event is the third round of the Australian Rally Championship, the Rally of Queensland, which will take place on June 21 and 22.
With Western Australian Toni Feaver calling the pacenotes, Molly will start from position 17 in her Mitsubishi Mirage.
It was at this event in 2007 when Molly burst onto the Australian Rally Championship scene, finishing the event in a career-high ninth place.
