Day one of the Jim Clark Rally, the third round of the British Rally Championship, has ended in disappointment for Molly.
After cutting in a little too tightly on a corner, Molly hit a rock in her Suzuki Swift, causing the right hand front wheel to puncture, and bending the control arm.
Despite their desperate attempts to straighten the control arm to enable them to continue on, Molly and Jemma were unable to do so in their alloted time, and eventually limped out of the stage out of late time.
Molly will re-start the rally on Saturday under Superally rules.
"It is a very disappointing end to the day," Molly said. "I didn't realise I had cut in quite so tightly, but that's rallying, I guess."
"We'll go out there again tomorrow and try and gain some more points to add to our Swift Sport Cup tally."
Saturday will see eleven competitive stages of rally action.
