Molly's Blog - November 2009 |
It has been a while between blogs and so much has happened since I last wrote. This last month has definitely been my busiest month since I arrived in the UK.
My goal this year was to win the Swift Sport Cup. The championship started off really well with two wins from the first two events. The next three events were on tarmac and they were a huge learning curve for me. In two of them I ended up in a position where I had to just drive for a finish to gather some points, and I really dislike having to do that. I’d much rather be in a position where you have to fight as hard as possible for a win.

Molly wins another BRC award |
The British Rally Championship Awards Night was held last weekend and saw Molly take home two prestigious awards.
As well as collecting the trophy for 2009 British Ladies Rally Champion, Molly was awarded the Greenlight Television Award for a great first season which so nearly saw her take the Swift Sport Cup, too.

Third for Molly in Cambrian Rally |
|
Molly has finished third in class in the Cambrian Rally, held yesterday in northern Wales. Driving a Peugeot 106, Molly and co-driver, Jemma Bellingham, had an excellent event, and their third place in the 1.4C class, against some very stiff competition, also rewarded them with fourth outright in the 1400cc Championship pointscore.
With well over 150 competitors in the event, Molly finished a remarkable 48th outright. Her result was even more impressive given the fact that she had not driven the Peugeot prior to the rally.
