Molly takes confidence from Pirelli Rally |
Molly has put in a great performance at this weekend's Pirelli International Rally, despite the disappointment of Friday, when she became beached on a corner in the heavy dust, and having to restart the event on Saturday under the ’super rally’ rules.
Over the day's eight stages, Molly was consistently amongst the top two Citroen drivers and she finished the event with a fastest stage time (and 10th fastest outright), proving again that she has the speed to match it with her more experienced opponents.

Positive start for Molly in Pirelli Rally |
Molly jumped out of the blocks and set second fastest time of the Citroens in the first two stages of the Pirelli International Rally. On stage 3, whilst driving in thick dust and with no visibility Molly slipped off the edge of a corner and the car became beached. The roads are crowned with lots of really thick loose gravel, and if you get off the swept line into the loose rubbish it’s very very slippery.

Molly's Blog - April 2010 |
It's been another hectic couple of weeks leading up to the Pirelli International (BRC Round 2), but it has been good “craic” (as the Irish would say). I’m heading off this morning for the shakedown and the Rally starts on Friday night. The weather is gorgeous. The sun is out and it feels lovely even though the temperature gauge on my car reads only 8 degrees.Alan was away on the 4.00am boat from Ireland this morning bringing the car over to England and I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.
