Disappointment for Molly at Ulster Rally PDF Print E-mail

Following their driveshaft failure in Leg 1 of the Ulster Rally, Molly and Coral rejoined the event under the Super Rally rules for Leg 2. On SS8 they caught a car which was slowly limping through the stage with mechanical problems, and they crashed into the back of it.

"Sadly the speed differential was too great and the road was narrow and only wide enough for one car," Coral said.  "Everyone was OK but the damage to the car meant we were unable to continue."

No luck for Molly on day 1 of Ulster Rally PDF Print E-mail

Molly has had a disappointing start to the Ulster Rally in Ireland.  A small off on SS1 caused the Citroen C2 R2 to hit a hedge and the car became bogged.  It took some time for Molly and Coral to extricate the car but they were soon back on their way, only to have the driveshaft break in SS2.

After repairs to the car, Molly will be back out on Day 2 under Super Rally rules.

Fantastic feeling for Molly at Stonethrowers Rally PDF Print E-mail
The Stonethrowers rally was set in beautiful Ireland, green rolling hills and perfect sunny summer  weather.

"As a shakedown before the Ulster Rally I wanted to get a good feeling with the car and gain more speed," Molly said. "After the wet and slippery Isle of Man it was a fantastic feeling to get on a dry piece of tarmac and have some grip! I felt like I had a lot of confidence and am beginning to drive as committed  on tarmac as I would on a gravel stage which is what I have been working on all year."

Molly enjoys Stonethrowers Rally PDF Print E-mail
Molly and Coral have completed an enjoyable and very worthwhile Stonethrowers Rally in Tipperary, Ireland.

The one day tarmac event covered 106 kilometres, and despite being seeded at the back of the field, Molly showed her speed and moved through the field.

"It was a good day's rallying," Molly said.  "I got a great feeling with the car and loved the stages.  It was a really worthwhile weekend."

Coral added, "We had a really great rally.  Molly's speed meant we were able to catch a lot of cars but as a result this meant we lost time whilst stuck behind them! Molly really stepped it up and drove brilliantly."
